Job summary

Target is hiring a Guest Advocate to help customers create a welcoming shopping experience. You will assist guests, explain store features and promotions, and support checkout, pickup, and returns. The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a friendly, helpful attitude to ensure satisfaction.

The position requires effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with guests and teammates
• Friendly, welcoming attitude toward guests
• Attention to detail during checkout and merchandising
• Ability to explain Target apps, promos and loyalty programs
• Comfort with handheld scanners and store tech
• Capable of working independently and in a team
• Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced store environment
• Resolve guest questions quickly and accurately

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience by greeting guests warmly and assisting with needs
• Help guests locate items, answer questions, and resolve issues for a smooth shopping trip
• Promote current promos, store activities and Target loyalty programs to guests
• Scan and bag items efficiently; operate checkout and handle returns per policy
• Support other team members and assist with drive-up, order pickup and online ordering processes
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout shift
• Adapt to business needs and customer demand while delivering excellent service
