Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Valley Works Inc. is seeking a full-time cashier to provide outstanding customer service and manage cash transactions at the Daleville store. You will engage customers, handle sales, and uphold store security and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, processing promotions, assisting with merchandise presentation, and supporting training of new cashiers while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in person or by phone with prompt, friendly service.
• Operate cash register/POS to ensure accurate sales data and pricing.
• Handle cash properly including promotions and discounts.
• Promote the Round Up program to support store mission.
• Keep front of store clean; stock and rotate merchandise.
• Assist in training new cashiers.
• Follow safety and security practices and report hazards.
