Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a friendly Cashier to ring up merchandise at the POS and provide world class customer service in a busy retail environment. You will greet customers promptly and help them with purchases.

In addition to operating the register, you will stock shelves, stay knowledgeable about products, and promote programs such as CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up to ensure a legendary experience for every customer, every time. Assist with returns and maintain store cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers and customers.
• Ability to operate computerized POS register system.

Responsibilities

• Check out customers' merchandise through POS registers.
• Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Stock and straighten shelves and pegs in the immediate area when not directly ringing up product.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including, but not limited to CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
