Job summary

Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group in Austin, TX is seeking a seasonal Cashier to serve as the first point of contact for guests. You will process payments, manage inventory records, and provide friendly, upsell-driven service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling transactions with Square, promoting add-ons, and maintaining a clean, organized sales area while ensuring a memorable guest experience during events. Availability evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at hire.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States; E‑Verify if applicable.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events.
• Experience operating a POS system or quick learner of new transaction technology.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; able to stay calm under pressure.
• Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods; able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Process payments accurately using the POS system.
• Greet guests and provide clear information about attractions, pricing, and special offers.
• Promote merchandise, upgrades, and bundles to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and organization of the sales area.
• Support queue management to maintain smooth flow and a positive atmosphere.
