Job summary

Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is seeking a Seasonal Cashier in Jacksonville, FL. As a frontline team member, you will process payments, maintain inventory accuracy, and deliver friendly service to create memorable guest experiences during events.

You will handle transactions quickly in a fast-paced environment, balance tills, and upsell merchandise and event add-ons to boost guest enjoyment and revenue. The position requires evening/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; E-Verify will be used.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience operating a POS system or ability to learn new transaction technology quickly.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout the event area for extended periods.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for restocking and inventory support.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to efficiently and accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Issue receipts and handle refunds or exchanges according to company policies.
• Balance the register and generate end‑of‑day financial summaries to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Customer Service

• Greet every guest with enthusiasm and professionalism, creating a warm and immersive first impression.
• Provide clear, helpful information about the attraction, pricing, and special offers.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive guest experience.

Upselling and Add‑Ons

• Promote merchandise, upgrades, and bundle deals to enhance guest enjoyment and increase revenue.
• Stay informed about current promotions and event enhancements to effectively assist guests with purchasing decisions.

Inventory Management

• Monitor merchandise stock levels, restock items as needed, and report shortages to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales area.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts to ensure accurate tracking of all items.

Queue Management

• Support smooth guest flow by assisting with queue organization and maintaining a positive atmosphere in high‑traffic areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified through E‑Verify.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
• Experience operating a POS system (such as Square), or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new transaction technology.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout the event area for extended periods.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for restocking and inventory support.

This is a seasonal position tied to events produced by Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group. Employment is at will, and there is no guarantee of continued or repeat employment in future seasons or events.
