Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and promotions
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention, and policy guidelines
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow store procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Keep up to date with ads and promotions; maintain food safety and safety procedures
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions and store information
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company policies
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Handle conflicts calmly and professionally
• Maintain honesty and integrity in customer and business information
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed
