Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer service at the check lanes. You will greet customers, scan items, and process payments while following store policies and safety guidelines.

The role requires strong communication, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Training will cover POS operations and loss-prevention practices to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders including SNAP EBT and WIC.
• Follow policy on cash shortages/overages and prevent loss.
• Adhere to guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Maintain a safe, clean store environment and assist customers with questions.
