Job summary

Kroger in Cold Spring, KY is seeking a part-time cashier/checker to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will greet customers, process transactions, and operate the POS system with accuracy while following company policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with questions, handling diverse payment types, and maintaining a clean, organized checkout area. Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle various tenders per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow rules for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and coupons.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Maintain awareness of ads and promotions.
