Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a friendly, dependable cashier to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment in McAllen, Texas. You will greet customers, process sales and returns, answer questions, and help locate products while keeping the sales floor neat and well-stocked.

The role requires accurate cash handling, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash/transactions.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise during shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver Best of the WEST service throughout the shopping experience.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and other POS transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor; recover displays and perform housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with merchandising updates, price changes, and promotions in-store.
• Provide accurate answers to customer questions about products, pricing, promotions, locations, and inventory.
