Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Careers is seeking a guest service-forward restaurant team member in Santa Barbara, CA. You will maintain a clean dining area, buss tables, and deliver outstanding service while building personal connections with guests.

Requirements include 1 year in a similar role, Food Handler Certification if applicable, and the ability to learn the POS system and multitask in a dynamic setting. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.
• Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
• Knowledge or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system, ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Hardworking, dedicated, with a real passion for hospitality.
• Flexible schedule and are able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean dining area by bussing tables in an efficient, courteous and accurate manner while providing outstanding service to guests.
• Act as an advocate for the restaurant and develop relationships with guests to encourage return visits.
• Clean and set tables to restaurant standards; deposit dishes appropriately.
• Pull dirty plates from tables while guests are seated; serve beverages promptly.
• Stock bussing stations.
• Clean stations including sweeping floors; perform buffet set-up and refill if needed.
• Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks such as expediting food to tables.
• Take on responsibilities outside of the job description as needed.
