Job summary

Galaxy Theatres Carson City is seeking friendly, customer-focused team members for a seasonal role starting in October through January 21st. You will sell tickets at the box office, operate the concession stand, greet guests, and provide showtime information in a fast-paced theatre environment.

This on-site role requires good math, reliability, and the ability to stand for long periods, with evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or cash-handling experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sell tickets at the box office using a point-of-sale system.
• Operate cash registers accurately and handle cash, credit, and mobile transactions.
• Greet and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Check tickets at theater entrances and guide guests to appropriate locations.
• Provide information about showtimes, theater amenities, policies, and inquiries.
• Answer phones courteously and transfer calls as needed.
• Prepare food and beverages at the concession stand following safety guidelines.
• Stock concessions, napkins, utensils, and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, restroom checks, and trash removal.
• Monitor crowd behavior and support crowd control procedures.
• Conduct general inspections and report safety or cleanliness issues promptly.
