Job summary

Kroger is seeking an entry-level Customer Service Associate at our Bryan, TX location. You will greet customers, assist with purchases, and process transactions at the check lane with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, handling multiple tender types, following store policies, and maintaining a safe, inviting environment. Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is helpful. This is a part-time role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and assist with store promotions and ads.
• Maintain food safety and safety procedures; identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Assist customers with product questions and ensure a welcoming store environment.
• Support various departments and collaborate with team members in a high-paced setting.
