Job summary

The Kroger family of companies is seeking a friendly, customer-focused associate for our Tillamook store. You will greet customers, assist them in the aisles, and process checkout transactions quickly and accurately at the lane. You’ll use the POS system, handle various payment methods, and apply store policies for coupons and loyalty programs.

You’ll contribute to a safe, welcoming shopping experience. We value integrity, respect, and teamwork; prior bagger or courtesy clerk experience helps

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders and coupons per policy.
• Adhere to cash shortage/overage guidelines and loss prevention.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with store ads.
• Maintain food safety standards and safety procedures.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions; notify management.
• Provide superb customer service and answer product questions.
