Applegreen invites you to join our team as a Team Member at one of our travel plazas in New Jersey. You will deliver friendly customer service, handle payments at the POS, and assist in food preparation and stocking to ensure a clean, welcoming plaza for travelers.

You’ll follow brand standards, maintain safety practices, and perform a variety of tasks from stocking to merchandising while engaging travelers with product knowledge and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and handle payments following policies.
• Ensure proper food handling: wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Complete various kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
