Job summary

RaceTrac, Inc. is hiring a Store Associate to join a fast-paced, guest-focused team. You will greet guests, handle transactions at the register or self-checkout, restock shelves, and keep the store clean and organized.

The role offers flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, with potential for growth and hands-on training. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior experience in a customer-facing setting is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or in progress).
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and standing.
• May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and teammates with a smile, responding promptly and courteously to both.
• Respond promptly and respectfully to management directions, and be flexible and capable of working in all areas of the store.
• Prepare, handle, and serve food in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized food service area and proper storage/labeling of ingredients.
• Ensure shelves are stocked and backrooms and coolers are clean and organized.
• Operate the cash register, process transactions, and provide excellent guest service.
• Act as first point of contact for guest concerns and escalate when needed.
• Meet guest transaction expectations by managing lines and communicating clearly.
• Follow safety regulations, including food safety and chemical handling.
• Inform guests about promotional items to raise awareness and engagement.
