Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years or older.
• Demonstrated ability to engage warmly and professionally with the public in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English; ability to listen actively and respond clearly.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to adhere to a consistent schedule.
• Availability for morning and evening shifts; weekend availability is required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
• Prior experience in a guest-facing hospitality, retail, or food service role.
• Familiarity with POS systems or cash register operation.
• Food Handler's Card: California law requires within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a genuine, energetic welcome and establishing a welcoming tone.
• Answering menu questions and making tailored recommendations based on preferences.
• Proactively upsell items, specials, sides, beverages, sauces, or upgrades.
• Delivering food to tables accurately and promptly; confirming order correctness.
• Thanking guests and offering a memorable goodbye.
• Performing regular table touches to check guest satisfaction and address needs.
• Handling guest complaints or concerns; listening, empathizing, and resolving.
• Escalating unresolved issues to supervision when needed.
• Maintaining a clean, organized dining room and restrooms; restocking as needed.
• Processing transactions at the register and giving correct change; cash handling per policy.
• Supporting back-of-house functions during peak times and doing opening/closing duties.
• Complete side work and daily cleaning before shift end.
