Job summary

Mass Audubon’s Blue Hills Trailside Museum in Milton, MA seeks a Visitor Services Representative I to greet visitors, register guests, and promote memberships. You will handle inquiries by phone and in person, assist with program registrations, and maintain welcoming facilities.

The role emphasizes excellent service, teamwork, and safety in a busy sanctuary environment. Responsibilities include guiding guests, updating signage, handling transactions, and supporting volunteers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent people skills and enthusiasm for a team environment.
• Organized with strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong desire to meet sales goals and promote goods/services.
• Office skills including computer, copier, scanning, and phone system.
• Experience with Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Ability to work well with staff, volunteers, and community representatives.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members, visitors, and guests at the visitor center.
• Answer phone calls and monitor voicemails, providing information and guidance.
• Assist with program registrations and signage updates.
• Introduce visitors to Mass Audubon membership benefits and directions.
• Operate the cash register and handle admissions and sales.
• Support volunteer training and collaborate with staff and volunteers.
