Job summary

Marriott Raleigh Durham Research Triangle Park is seeking a Front Desk Associate to greet guests, handle check-ins/check-outs, and provide prompt, courteous service. The role requires a valid driver's license for van duties and a focus on exceptional guest experience in a dynamic hotel setting.

The position involves standard front desk operations, guest transactions, and coordination with housekeeping and other departments to ensure a seamless stay for guests.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience; high school diploma preferred.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to use a calculator and perform moderately complex arithmetic.
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers with patience and diplomacy.
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and register them, provide courteous service, and close out guest accounts.
• Answer telephones promptly with clear English communication and relay messages.
• Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization; handle cash and balance as needed.
• Assist guests with inquiries, local attractions, and room rates; maintain guest satisfaction.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a neat, clean front desk and service area.
