Job summary

Paducah Riverfront Hotel is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, handle bookings, process check-ins and check-outs, and provide local insights for a memorable stay in Paducah, Kentucky.

You will acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members, manage transactions, and respond to guest requests with professionalism while maintaining safety and a polished appearance as a key hotel ambassador.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to turn issues into opportunities through problem solving.
• Comfort with reading, writing, basic math and computers.
• Availability for night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
• Hospitality mindset to make guests feel like family.

Responsibilities

• Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
• Take and manage guest bookings, upsell opportunities and inform guests about ways to improve their stay.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Check guests in and out swiftly—collect IDs, hand out room keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
• Record and act on guests’ preferences and handle messages, requests, questions and concerns.
• Be a trusted contact for all guests; assist with bill issues and local knowledge; alert management when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents; wear required protective gear.
• Maintain a neat appearance and serve as a brand ambassador.
• Be aware of events and activities on the day’s schedule.
• Take on ad-hoc duties when colleagues need help.
