Job summary

Target is seeking a Guest Advocate to greet guests, explain store services, and help with purchases across digital and in-store options. You will balance speed with accuracy while maintaining a friendly, helpful demeanor.

Training is provided to learn products, loyalty programs, and app features. The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to develop customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you and maintain a positive attitude.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a respectful environment.
• Promote Target benefits, loyalty programs, and how to use features in the Target App.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, with accuracy and safety.
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering and guide guests to enroll and use them.
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards as needed.
