Job summary

Embassy Suites La Jolla in San Diego, CA is seeking a friendly Bellperson to assist guests from arrival to departure. You will help with luggage, share local knowledge, and operate the hotel van for transfers to attractions and other destinations during guests' stay.

This part-time role requires a valid CA driver’s license and a clean MVR, with flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Acceptable driving record, as verified by MVR review after conditional offer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with luggage, packages, and deliveries to and from guest rooms.
• Store and retrieve luggage using the hotel’s tagging/tracking system.
• Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
• Answer guest inquiries and escalate issues to the appropriate department when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lobby, entrance, and bell stand area.
• Operate the hotel van to transport guests to attractions and other destinations.
• Assist guests with boarding, loading/unloading luggage, and providing extra help.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Keep the van clean, fueled, and presentable; maintain trip logs and passenger counts.
• Report accidents or incidents involving the hotel vehicle to management.
