Job summary

ExplorUS operates Starved Rock Lodge in Illinois, inviting applicants for the part-time Activities Assistant role. You will help plan and facilitate activities for lodge guests, delivering fun, memorable experiences and stellar customer service.

The position emphasizes administrative work, event coordination and cross-department collaboration to ensure guest satisfaction while supporting reservations, promotions and invoice processing. Weekend/evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access or similar.
• Two years of administrative support experience.
• Public contact experience preferred.
• Detail oriented with good organization and time management.
• Able to sit, walk and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clerical services to support guest satisfaction.
• Input information into event planner database and assist with mailings.
• Enter event details in POS system and run reports as requested.
• Assist production and distribution of promotional brochures.
• Collect upcoming guest reservations and email event info prior to arrival.
• Respond to ticket requests and other guest assistance.
• Greet guests and maintain positive lodge image for customers.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure a great guest experience.
• Assist in preparing and processing invoices for group events and vendor checks.
• Answer questions from guests, planners and vendors.
