ExplorUS at Starved Rock Lodge in Illinois seeks a Banquet Supervisor to oversee banquet operations, lead Housepersons, and ensure high-quality service for events. Responsibilities include training, coordinating staff, and managing A/V setup for meetings and banquets.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service excellence, and the ability to develop training programs while maintaining event quality and safety standards. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet operations and service standards.
• Strong HR and safety awareness for banquet environments.
• Proven ability to build teams and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Implement banquet quality standards for Starved Rock Lodge.
• Train and supervise Banquet Housepersons; lead Servers/Bartenders.
• Provide A/V equipment support and test in advance.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of banquet areas and satellite kitchen.
• Act as manager in absence of Sales & Catering Manager.
• Monitor staff performance and conduct trainings.
• Engage with customers to maintain a positive Lodge image.
• Develop ongoing training programs; manage meeting-space supplies.
