The role blends fieldwork with technical project support in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in natural resources, environmental science, ecology, or related field.
• Understanding Pacific Island environments and coastal ecosystems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with local and remote teams.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.
• Willingness for field work in hot, humid conditions and rugged terrain.
• Attention to detail in safety, data collection, and documentation.
• Demonstrated flexibility and quick learning in a dynamic project environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to access military installations.

Responsabilités

• Conduct field surveys for flora, fauna, wetlands, and habitats.
• Support endangered species surveys and monitoring programs.
• Assist with ecological monitoring, habitat restoration, and natural resource assessments.
• Maintain native plant nurseries and support propagation efforts.
• Collect, record, and manage environmental data.
• Support environmental compliance programs (Stormwater, Wastewater, Drinking water, Solid waste).
• Assist with environmental site investigations, remediation, and restoration projects.
• Prepare technical reports, field summaries, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with biologists, environmental scientists, engineers, and regulatory specialists.
• Follow all health, safety, and quality assurance requirements.
