Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Strategy & Operations Lead for Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) to own planning, capacity, and engagement mix. You will partner with Finance, Legal, Revenue Ops, and program leads to build models and dashboards that drive decisions and scale delivery with partners.

You will run business reviews, define KPIs, and automate reporting with Claude tools, while shaping the commercial model and ensuring alignment with Anthropic's mission to build safe, beneficial AI.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy and operations, including working with professional services or forward deployed teams
• Understanding of how a services business makes and loses money: utilization, staffing mix, rates, backlog and margin
• Ability to build a capacity or staffing model from scratch and pull data with SQL
• Experience running planning cycles and business reviews for senior leaders
• Ability to translate unclear questions into actionable recommendations and processes
• Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority
• Comfort with fast work using imperfect data and simple processes
• Proficiency using AI tools in daily work and a desire to push further
• Alignment with Anthropic's mission to build safe, beneficial AI

Responsibilities

• Own FDE’s annual and quarterly plan: headcount, capacity, regional mix, and engagement types
• Model demand, capacity, and staffing scenarios for leadership decisions
• Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews and write materials for leadership
• Build reporting with Revenue Ops and Data Science for automated dashboards
• Shape the commercial model: pricing, contracting and terms with Finance and Legal
• Plan delivery partner engagement, capacity, and economics
• Design org changes with leadership and People for new roles and headcount
• Lead cross-functional projects spanning Sales, Applied AI, and Product
• Automate reporting using Claude Code and agents
