Job summary

Anthropic is hiring a Strategy & Operations Lead for Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE). You will partner with FDE leadership to own the plan, headcount by region, capacity, and the mix of engagements, and to decide pricing and measurement. You’ll build models and dashboards and run the monthly and quarterly business reviews.

This is a hands-on, full-time role in a location-based hybrid setting. You’ll work with Finance, Deal Desk, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Partners, scale work to delivery

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy and operations, including work with professional services or forward deployed teams.
• Understanding how a services business makes and loses money: utilization, staffing mix, rates, backlog and margin.
• Ability to build a capacity or staffing model from scratch and pull data with SQL.
• Experience running planning cycles and business reviews for a senior leader and creating the supporting materials.
• Ability to turn unclear questions into recommendations, decisions and processes used by other teams.
• Ability to earn trust of senior technical and commercial leaders and influence them without formal authority.
• Comfort working fast with imperfect data and simple processes you improve over time.
• Experience using AI tools in your work today and a drive to push this further.
• Excitement about Anthropic's mission to build AI that is safe and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own the plan: develop FDE's annual and quarterly plan including headcount by region and role, capacity, utilization, and mix of engagements.
• Model demand and capacity behind the plan with scenarios for leadership to use in hiring decisions.
• Run the monthly and quarterly business reviews and own the scorecard and leadership materials.
• Build reporting with data on engagement, staffing and outcomes to enable automated insights.
• Shape the commercial model by pricing, packaging, discounts and contracting for FDE engagements.
• Scale through partners: plan which engagements partners own, co-deliver or get Anthropic advice on, and measure cost and quality.
• Design the org: plan new roles and headcount distribution as the team grows.
• Lead cross-functional projects spanning Sales, Applied AI, Customer Success, Product and Research.
• Automate with Claude: build dashboards and workflows using Claude Code and agents.
