AgentMail in San Francisco is hiring a GTM Engineer to own the growth data layer end to end, instrument the funnel, enrich signups, and build dashboards that serve as the source of truth for the company.
You will run experiments across the PLG engine, connect the stack with APIs and webhooks, and shape the tooling strategy while shipping AI-powered internal tools.
Location: San Francisco, CA Type: Full-time, on-site
AgentMail is building the communication and identity layer for AI agents.
Agents are starting to do real work, but they still lack basic infrastructure humans already have: persistent identity, reliable communication, permissions, memory, and a system of record. AgentMail gives every AI agent its own programmable inbox.
Developers use our API to create inboxes, send and receive email, manage threads, parse messages into structured data, route webhooks, attach domains, and build agents that can communicate across the internet.
We're backed by Y Combinator and have raised $6M led by General Catalyst, with support from the founders of Ramp, Supabase, and HubSpot, as well as Paul Graham.
We're early, moving fast, and building in a category without a playbook. If you want to help define core infrastructure for the agent era, we'd love to meet you.
We're hiring a GTM Engineer to build the machine behind AgentMail's growth: the data pipeline, the outbound engine, and the source of truth the whole company runs on. This is a build-and-own role, not a support role.
Own the growth data layer end to end: instrument the funnel, enrich every signup, and build the dashboards the company treats as the source of truth
Turn our best customers into ten more: lookalike modeling, automated outbound, LinkedIn plays, and surfacing champions and buyers inside companies already using us
Run experiments across the PLG engine (content, integrations, backlinks, paid) and double down on what moves signups
Connect the stack through APIs, webhooks, and automation so data moves cleanly between PostHog, our CRM, enrichment providers, and outbound tooling
Decide what tools we use and what gets kicked to the curb. You own the stack
Build AI-powered internal tools
Ship systems from prototype through rollout and adoption, then hold your ground. You built it, the team follows it
A technical foundation: CS, data science, or equivalent. You write real scripts in Python/TypeScript/SQL, wire APIs together, and are dangerous with Claude Code or Codex
You've seen a great growth motion up close, or you've been obsessively reverse-engineering how the best PLG companies grow
High agency in ambiguity: you call out what's broken, come with an opinion, and fix things without being asked
Low ego, high buy-in
Organized enough that the systems you build don't rot. Clean data is a discipline, not a feature
You want to help invent a market, not just run someone else's process
Hands‑on experience with tools like Clay, n8n, enrichment waterfalls, or sending infrastructure
PostHog fluency (we live in it)
You've shipped agentic workflows or internal AI tooling before
You've worked at or studied a technical PLG company up close
