Job summary

Plaid is seeking a GTM Compliance Analyst to help evaluate and onboard customers while protecting the company from regulatory risk. You will review deals, assess business models and use cases, and determine when escalations are needed.

You’ll partner with Sales, Legal, Product, and other teams to translate complex requirements into practical guidance and keep deals moving. You will help build playbooks, workflows, and reporting to scale GTM compliance as Plaid expands into new products and

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, or related function in fintech or regulated industry.
• Experience conducting risk-based reviews and translating regulatory requirements into guidance for business teams.
• Strong judgment and analytical skills to assess incomplete patterns and identify regulatory risks.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to document decisions for auditability.
• Proven ability to collaborate with Sales, Legal, Product, and cross-functional partners.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills to manage multiple reviews and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review deals for regulatory, licensing, and policy risk with focus on business model and geography.
• Conduct onboarding and due diligence for higher-risk customers and use cases with supporting docs.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify compliance requirements and develop risk mitigations.
• Document compliance decisions, rationale, conditions, and escalations clearly.
• Track onboarding conditions, approvals, renewals, and post-deal obligations for timely follow-up.
• Support reviews of regulated segments like gaming, lending, crypto, or payments.
• Research regulatory and licensing requirements; escalate complex issues to subject-matter experts.
• Develop and maintain GTM compliance playbooks, risk-tiering, and escalation paths.
• Identify recurring issues and improve policies, tooling, and customer guidance.
• Provide training and office-hours to GTM teams on compliance engagement and information gathering.
• Build reporting and metrics on reviews, turnaround times, risk themes, and outcomes.
