Opal issues credit cards for ad spend. Agencies and brands run millions in Meta and Google budgets through us.
Our best customers come from rooms, not cold emails: events, referrals, podcasts, and founder content. I need someone to run that engine end to end, from filling the room, to selling in it, to making sure every person in it hears from us again.
This is a builder role. Part marketer, part seller, part relationship manager. If you only want to do one of those, this isn't it.
What you'll own
- Events (the big one)Run events from start to finish: pick and book venues, handle branding, and pre-order set menus to stay on budget
- Fill the room with LinkedIn outreach (Dripify), Luma, and email drip campaigns (GoHighLevel)
- Find and manage co-sponsors
- Sell at the event. Work the room, collect contacts, and spot the agencies and brands that fit us.
- Follow up with every attendee and get them into our ecosystem, whether they became a customer, a referrer, or a future customer
- Book every new account into an onboarding call the moment they sign. Same day, not same week.
- Follow up with our capital partner on credit limits so customers aren't left waiting
- Referrals + relationshipsSet up referral agreements with individuals and companies, then follow up to make sure the referrals actually come in
- Run quarterly check-ins with existing accounts. Happy customers are our best source of referrals and new business.
- Brand + contentManage my LinkedIn for founder-led content
- Comment on LinkedIn as Opal. Show up in the conversations our customers are already having.
- Review work from our content agency and make sure everything is on-brand and actually relevant to agencies
- Possibly run our podcast: guest outreach (Instantly), booking, maybe even hosting
- Finding the next roomFind sponsorships, conferences, and events where our customers already spend time
You're a fit if

- You follow up relentlessly. The money is in the follow-up, and you know it.
- You know marketing agencies, paid media, or fintech, or you learn fast
- You're organized enough to run five events, three campaigns, and a referral pipeline without dropping anything
- You're not a fit ifYou want a pure marketing role and don't want to sell
- You want a pure sales role and don't want to plan the event
- You want remote or hybrid. We're in person, and we work hard.
- Why this roleCommission on the business you bring in
- You'll work directly with the CEO and shape how Opal goes to market
- Build the playbook now and lead the team that runs it later
