Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a GSRP Associate Teacher in Michigan to support a high-quality, play-based classroom that prepares children for kindergarten within the Great Start Readiness Program. You will assist with daily lessons, observe development, and foster a safe, engaging learning environment.

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state‑funded, nationally recognized Pre‑K program for 4‑year‑old children. We’re looking for an GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high‑quality, play‑based classroom that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond.

Associate Teacher Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons using an approved GSRP curriculum
• Assist in observing and assessing children’s development using approved tools
• Help maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Participate in family engagement activities, staff meetings, and required professional development

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (or a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with a plan to complete an associate degree)
• Experience working with preschool‑aged children preferred
• Ability to meet state licensing and GSRP requirements
• Team player with a passion for early childhood education
