Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high-quality, play-based classroom for 4-year-olds in Michigan's state-funded program. You will work with the Lead Teacher to implement lessons and monitor progress in a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a CDA with a plan to complete an associate degree, and have experience with preschool-aged children. A collaborative, patient approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (Or a valid CDA with a plan to complete an associate degree)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• Ability to meet state licensing and GSRP requirements
• Team player with a passion for early childhood education

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons using an approved GSRP curriculum
• Assist in observing and assessing children’s development using approved tools
• Help maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Participate in family engagement activities, staff meetings, and required professional development

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan\'s state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children. We\’re looking for a GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high-quality, play-based classroom that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond.

As an Associate Teacher, you\’ll:
