Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV cameras, access control, and alarm systems to identify security incidents.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of communications and security events.
  • Collect, analyze and report intelligence on incidents using OSINT tools.
  • Coordinate with GSOC leadership and respond according to SOPs and protocols.
  • Dispatch officers to calls for service and coordinate with internal/external teams.
  • Prepare incident reports and support investigations.

GSOC Operator-Night Shift

Full Time Professional Santa Clara, CA, US

Salary Range: $31.00 To $34.00 Hourly

Job Summary:

The GSOC Operator is responsible for 24/7 monitoring and response operations to protect personnel, facilities, and business operations. Utilizing security systems, alarm monitoring platforms, CCTV, access control tools, and open-source intelligence, the operator will identify, assess, and elevate potential threats and adverse events. This role serves as a critical communication hub, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely incident response and continuity of operations.

The position works on a rotational schedule and must be available to work shifts at all times of day and night.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The GSOC Operator is responsible for providing security and intelligence support by pro-actively monitoring systems and taking actions in accordance with established processes to handle normal business operations and critical incidents.

  • Monitor and operate CCTV cameras, access control, and alarm systems to identify and assess security incidents.
  • Monitor, document, and maintain accurate records of communications and security events.
  • Collect, analyze and report intelligence on domestic and international incidents using internal systems and open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools and resources.
  • Monitor system functionality and report technical issues to ensure continuous operational capability
  • Perform quality assurance functions to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Collaborate with the GSOC leadership and adhere to company standards, policies, and expectations.
  • Assess, and verify incident and crisis situations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Apply and follow multiple SOPs to manage a range of incidents.
  • Identify and communicate potential threats to personnel, facilities, and assets under company protection.
  • Identify and respond promptly to emergency situations ensuring timely escalation and coordination.
  • Coordinate and dispatch officers to calls for service.
  • Liaise with internal and external teams, including operations, security, law enforcement and emergency services to ensure coordinated incident response and operational continuity
  • Compile and complete incident reports and support investigations.
  • Participate in training exercises between field agents and security, intelligence and operations center.
  • Investigate alarm activations in coordination with security patrol and facilities teams and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Review & analyze videos to support security operations and investigations.
  • Analyze incident and operational data to identify trends and provide actionable intelligence for risk mitigation.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required to support GSOC operations.

Computer Knowledge/Technical Skills:

  • Proficient or able to quickly learn CCTV, network video Systems, alarm monitoring platforms, telephone, and instant messaging systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Open-Source searches)
  • Exposure to data visualization and mapping platforms.
  • Proficient with social media platforms including, but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education GED or High School Diploma
  • Experience 12-18 months of experience desired, prior military/law enforcement preferred, or open source/computer investigations.
  • Must have valid State issued driver's license at hire and throughout employment.
  • Required Certificates: All legally required licenses and permits necessary to perform the job in the State of operation, before and throughout assignment.
  • Must successfully pass a Criminal Background Check and/or obtain security clearances as required by the client and employer
  • Must be able to pass any required training or other qualifications for employment
  • Must be able to pass and complete employer mandated training (on-line learning modules, in-class and virtual training as required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in one or more of the following environments:
  • Commercial or Corporate security environments involving 24/7 monitoring and escalation processes.
  • Security/Emergency/Response based dispatch/operations center services involving direct interaction with callers and dispatched personnel.
  • Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) in English
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate and re‑direct telephone conversations to quickly identify and take action to resolve incidents.
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous learningand skills development

  • Ability to sit for long durations while maintaining focus and awareness of surroundings
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
