Summary
The GSOC Intelligence & Operations Supervisor serves as a frontline leader within the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), responsible for supervising GSOC Intelligence & Operations Analysts and ensuring the effective execution of real-time monitoring, incident response, and situational awareness functions. Operating in a 24/7 mission-critical environment, the Supervisor acts as a tactical coordinator for security operations during their shift—balancing operational duties with personnel oversight, quality control, and communication with internal stakeholders. This role requires a high level of situational awareness, sound decision-making under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining high service delivery standards. The Supervisor ensures adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supports the GSOC Intelligence & Operations Manager in achieving operational goals across global security operations.
Essential Functions
- Supervise daily GSOC operations during assigned shifts, ensuring that all monitoring, incident response, and reporting activities are performed according to policy and standard operating procedures.
- Act as the first escalation point for GSOC personnel during incidents or critical events, providing guidance and coordination in real-time.
- Conduct shift briefings, task assignments, and debriefs to ensure situational continuity and preparedness across shifts.
- Oversee and validate the accuracy and completeness of incident reports, advisories, and logs submitted by Intelligence & Operations Analysts.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to Intelligence & Operations Analysts, fostering skill development and ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the GSOC Intelligence & Operations Manager on incident investigations, trend analysis, and after-action reviews.
- Maintain real-time visibility on global events that may impact LinkedIn’s personnel, assets, or operations, and ensure timely dissemination of situational updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate response activities with on-site security personnel, first responders, or law enforcement when required.
- Support GSOC system functionality by reporting and tracking technical issues, escalating as appropriate, and conducting basic troubleshooting or liaison with support teams.
- Participate in the development, review, and training of SOPs and GSOC guidelines to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Track shift-specific metrics, intake volumes, and incident data to support operational reporting and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure proper shift handovers with detailed briefings, ensuring continuity of knowledge and seamless operational transitions.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a GSOC, security operations center, or similar security environment.
- Prior leadership experience (formal or informal), such as supervising teams or managing shift operations.
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to incidents, assess risk, and coordinate operational responses.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in using security systems and platforms (e.g., Lenel, Milestone, Dataminr, Ontic, Onsolve).
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.
Prefered Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience managing, mentoring or training team members.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, crisis communication tools, and emergency management procedures.
- Knowledge of international threat environments and geopolitical risk analysis.
Minimum Hiring Standards
- Must have the legal right to work in the USA.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screening and background investigation.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
- California Security Guard license.
- CPR/AED/First Aid Training Certification preferred.

- Seeks out ways to enhance GSOC operations through feedback, training, and SOP development.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is an onsite role based in a secure facility; remote work is not permitted.
- This is a shift-based position with a permanent schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime.
- Prolonged periods of monitoring and desk-based work are necessary.
- The environment is fast-paced and high-stakes, demanding continuous situational awareness.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies or high-impact events is essential.
- Regular participation in training and drills is required to ensure ongoing operational readiness.
