Job summary

Control Risks is seeking a dedicated GSOC Analyst to join our renowned security team. The Operator will safeguard client assets by operating within a 24/7/365 security operations center and monitoring security systems to ensure the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and operations.

This 6-month engagement covers 24/7/365 on a 5x8 shift (2:00 pm–10:00 pm). You will act as the first contact for security communications, monitor CCTV and access control, assess incidents in real time, and

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in a GSOC, Security Operations or similar in tech sector.
• Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of security systems and incident response protocols.
• Excellent communication, written and verbal skills.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient in security technology and reporting software.
• Flexible hours including overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Act as the initial contact for global security communications; respond to alerts and incidents.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems to detect threats and respond swiftly.
• Conduct real-time incident assessments and coordinate responses with stakeholders.
• Document all incidents, actions taken and outcomes for records and analysis.
• Support execution of security protocols and procedures as directed by leadership.
• Assist in developing security reports and intelligence products.
• Provide travel security tracking and assist in crisis management.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in a GSOC, Security Operations, or similar role working in the technology sector
• Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related areasof study preferred.
• Working knowledge of security systems, incident response protocols, and emergency management.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions under stress.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly.
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to assess complex situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in using security technology and software applications related to monitoring and reporting.
• Capability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000-80,000 per year (37,500-40,000 for the 6-month engagement). Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
