Job summary

Pegasus Aviation Services, an Akima company, is seeking an Assistant GSE Manager to support the GSE Manager in overseeing the maintenance program for aviation ground support equipment. This role leads in absence, performs preventive and on-demand maintenance, and mentors staff to uphold ramp safety and service quality.

The position requires experience with aviation GSE, strong safety knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather; nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining aviation GSE or airport ramp equipment.
• U.S. work eligibility; 18+ with valid driver's license.
• Minimum 3 years' experience maintaining aviation GSE.
• Knowledge of FAA ramp safety standards and GSE compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist the GSE Manager in daily operations and act as lead in their absence.
• Perform preventive and on-demand maintenance/repair on aviation GSE.
• Prepare reports and updates for senior management meetings.
• Train and mentor GSE staff on maintenance procedures and ramp safety.
• Assist in developing and managing the GSE budget and schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and service needs.
• Maintain a safe, compliant work area and support staff development.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and maintenance programs.
• Support internal/external customers with quality service.
