Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a GSE Manager to oversee daily maintenance operations across locations, ensuring ground support equipment is safe, reliable, and available to support flight operations.

The role leads GSE Mechanics and Supervisors, coordinates repairs, and enforces safety policies while partnering with Operations to optimize downtime and asset availability. Strong leadership and maintenance expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in GSE, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment repair.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diesel/gas engines, and GSE equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems or work order systems preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily GSE maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Supervise and support GSE Mechanics, Assistants, and Supervisors (if applicable).
• Ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime to support operational needs.
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance work based on operational demands.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and maintenance activities.
• Monitor and track maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with Operations to address equipment needs and service issues.
• Manage parts inventory, tools, and maintenance supplies.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control related to maintenance and repairs.
• Support vendor coordination for specialized repairs and services.
• Investigate and resolve equipment failures and recurring issues.
• Train and develop team members on proper maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
