Job summary

Signature Aviation in Norfolk, VA is seeking a skilled Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ground support equipment used in operations at our facilities.

You will service units with fuel, water, oil, and hydraulic fluids, run diagnostic tests, document work logs, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines while supporting the reliability of aircraft handling operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 1 year of experience or equivalent
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Background checks, drug tests, and airport security badge are required
• Prior GSE or heavy equipment experience preferred
• Must have own tools and valid driver’s license
• Vocational certification or apprenticeship is a definite plus (ASE preferred)

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain ground support equipment (GSE) used in operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul GSE as needed.
• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil and hydraulic fluids.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
• Keep logs and report issues; complete GSE paperwork.
