Job summary

TREGO DUGAN AVIATION OF GRAND ISLAND INC is seeking a GSE Mechanic 1-3 for a full-time position in Norfolk, VA. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on ground support equipment used in airport operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, enjoys troubleshooting, and thrives in a fast-paced aviation environment. Requirements include basic mechanical experience, own tools, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical experience in automotive, diesel, or equipment.
• Must provide own tools and valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and service ground support equipment used in daily operations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including tugs, belt loaders, ground power units (GPU), air start units, air conditioning units, and service carts.
• Conduct diagnostic testing to identify equipment functionality issues.
• Repair or replace defective components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Build and assemble mechanical components and equipment as required.
• Clean, lubricate, and service machinery and equipment parts.
• Check and replenish fluids, filters, and other system components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete required GSE documentation.
• Provide guidance to operators on proper equipment use and preventative care.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
