Job summary

Menzies Aviation at Philadelphia International Airport is seeking a skilled GSE Mechanic to repair and rebuild airport service vehicles, including support trucks, carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will inspect parts, perform repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems; and help maintain fueling equipment to support aircraft service operations.

• Provide preventive care and timely repairs to ensure aircraft services operate safely and effectively.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment per health, safety and security policies.

Role Purpose

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding ofairport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to supporttrucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required toinspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as makerepairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectivelyby providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to brokenequipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by followingestablished procedures and protocols.

What you will be doing

• Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providingproper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.

What we are looking for

• Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or relatedexperience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education andexperience.
• We are ideally looking for an individual with auto maintenance or forkliftmaintenance experience.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends andholidays.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Customs badges/seals.
