Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Must obtain/maintain Airports and Custom badges/seals.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality checks on refueling equipment and maintain records.
  • Operate refueling equipment vehicles.
  • Provide preventive care to equipment and timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment per health, safety and security policies.

As member of the Menzies Aviation Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic team you will be responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Role Purpose

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.
