Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA, seeks a Manager General Manufacturing to lead the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) manufacturing team. The role oversees maintenance, tooling, and STE tasks, guiding the shop, tooling staff, and training programs to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 5 years of related experience, or a Bachelor's with 1 year of related experience; DoD Secret Clearance eligibility is a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years related professional/military experience in general manufacturing and/or tooling/production, or Bachelor's Degree and 1 year related experience.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must have 1 year of prior management/leadership experience.
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd Shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of non-exempt employees responsible for maintenance/repair of Ground Support Equipment, Tooling and STE.
• Direct and mentor GSE mechanics, machine shop and tooling personnel in the GSE/Tooling area.
• Ensure training and prepare daily work orders for equipment maintenance.
• Promote career development and training options for staff.
