• Direct and mentor GSE mechanics, machine shop and tooling personnel in the GSE/Tooling area.

This leadership role is located in Palmdale, CA.The Manager General Manufacturing 1will have the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading the manufacturing activities within our Ground Support Equipment organization, which will include the following responsibilities:Responsibilities include:Lead a team of non-exempt employees, who are responsible for the maintenance /repair of Ground Support Equipment, Tooling and Special Test Equipment (STE).Leads the GSE/Tooling team in executing best practices following PrOP documents, T.O’s and owner manuals.Providing direction and mentorship to the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) mechanics, machine shop and tooling personnel in the GSE/ Tooling area.Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work orders in support of overall maintenance of equipment.Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.Ensure proper planning of work scheduled for the machine shop, setting priorities.This position will offer 4/10 - 2nd shift work schedule, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
