Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee daily GSE maintenance at multiple locations and lead a team of mechanics, assistants, and supervisors. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and safety compliance to keep equipment available for operations.

The position requires 5–8 years in GSE/fleet repair, supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of diesel/gas engines and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in GSE, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment repair.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to travel frequently to various locations.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Credentials (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily GSE maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Supervise and support GSE Mechanics, Assistants, and Supervisors (if applicable).
• Ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime to support operational needs.
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance work based on operational demands.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and maintenance activities.
• Monitor and track maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with Operations to address equipment needs and service issues.
• Manage parts inventory, tools, and maintenance supplies.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control related to maintenance and repairs.
• Support vendor coordination for specialized repairs and services.
• Investigate and resolve equipment failures and recurring issues.
• Train and develop team members on proper maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
