Job summary

Roundhouse is hiring an Assistant Community Manager at Buffalo Run Apartments in Bozeman, MT. You will assist the Community Manager with leasing, rent collection, resident relations, and financial reporting, while developing the skills to manage a property of your own.

This full-time, on-site role includes a zero-cost employee medical plan and a 401(k) match. You'll help drive occupancy, handle tours and applications, process renewals, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of property management laws and regulations.
• A real customer-service mindset and strong communication skills.
• A desire to lead, on your team and in your community.

Responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, manage resident ledgers, issue late notices, and assist with collections and write-offs.
• Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, including inspections, documentation, and deposit accounting.
• Respond quickly and professionally to resident questions, concerns, and complaints.
• Track maintenance requests and keep work orders moving to completion.
• Handle lease renewals, violations, and notices in line with company policy.
• Support leasing by giving tours, processing applications, and preparing leases.
