Job summary

The Intermediate Universal Banker at Minnwest Bank is responsible for delivering professional customer experiences, opening deposit accounts, and cross-selling banking products in a high-volume branch network. This role requires strong communication, accuracy, and a customer-first mindset while supporting teller functions as needed and traveling to training sessions.

You will cover branches within the market, maintain knowledge of bank products, and uphold Minnwest Bank policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years cash handling in a customer-facing role.
• 2 years customer service experience.
• 1 year in retail banking or financial services sales.
• 1 year opening consumer and business accounts or training.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, self-motivated team player.
• Willing to learn and grow within the organization.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service and identify product needs.
• Open new consumer and business deposit accounts and process paperwork.
• Process transactions and identify fraud red flags.
• Provide referrals to other business lines (insurance, real estate, etc).
• Promote cross-selling to achieve sales and service goals.
• Assist customers with account changes and online services questions.
• Perform teller functions as outlined in procedures.
• Travel within the market to provide staffing coverage as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of all bank products and comply with policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
