Tempus is seeking an accounting-focused professional to support daily financial operations in Chicago. The role involves bank reconciliations, month-end close, GL analysis, and preparation of audit/tax documentation, with emphasis on internal controls and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Public accounting experience is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Tax, Audit, or Finance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups); VB/SQL a plus but not required.
• GAAP knowledge; public accounting experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support day-to-day accounting functions.
• Maintain and reconcile bank statements.
• Perform month-end close tasks and financial statement analysis.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Review and analyze general ledger transactions.
• Prepare documentation for audits and tax provisions/returns.
• Assist with tax filings workpapers.
• Ensure internal controls are implemented and maintained.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses for leadership requests.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes.
