Auctus Search Partners LLC client in the Philadelphia area seeks a President to steer growth and profitability, targeting a doubling of the business in 3–5 years with a focus on organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in engineering/construction, a proven track record in hard bid electrical contracting, and exceptional leadership. Relocation to the Philadelphia area is provided, with flexibility for HQ outside the city.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years’ experience in engineering and/or construction.
• Proven track record overseeing hard bid electrical contracting work.
• Exemplary leadership and entrepreneurial growth mindset.
• Experience building leaders who execute on-time and on-budget projects.
• Experience leading electricians, linemen, engineers, and other professionals in a team environment.
• Developing leaders within engineering and construction professions is important.
• Good communication skills and knowledge of standard business software.
• Experience with electrical and/or specialty contracting preferred, especially in hard-bid environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coordination and oversight for company operations.
• Report to CEO and Board with timely updates on performance.
• Deliver forecasted budgets and quarterly/annual plans.
• Foster a high-performance culture aligned with a unified vision.
• Produce metrics and data for projects and business management.
• Develop construction/engineering capabilities in existing and new areas.
• Assess manpower needs and guide departmental growth.
• Build a team to research and apply new construction/process improvements.
• Ensure high-quality projects are completed right the first time.
• Evaluate performance of projects, services and initiatives, including people.
• Be willing to work from the headquarters outside Philadelphia.
• Oversee unions-related aspects as required.
• Manage financial performance, cash flow and capital budgets.
