Sterling Group in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to assist in leading on-site maintenance staff and ensuring repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building trades are completed to standard.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, technical training preferred, at least 3 years in maintenance, and strong customer service skills. This role offers full benefits and a $2000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Technical School preferred, High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• Excellent interpersonal relations, communicative skills and a customer-focused service orientation.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building trades.
• Own and use basic tools, as well as utilize basic computer programs to perform tasks.
• Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists Maintenance Supervisor in leading on-site maintenance staff in diagnosis of problems and repair in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structural, and appliance.
• Ensure all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds are completed according to established procedures.
