Job summary

Sterling Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician to uphold property standards across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building trades. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain equipment and facilities at our Birmingham properties.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years in maintenance, own basic tools, and hold a valid driver’s license. EPA certification and pool license are a plus; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• Prior apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general building trades.
• EPA Certification and Pool License preferred.
• Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills.
• Possess your own basic tools to perform apartment/building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical aspects of the property meet the company’s established standards.
• Diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structural, and appliance.
