Job summary

hireneXus is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a growing specialty construction business in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on people, culture, commercial performance, accountability, and P&L ownership.

The GM will own culture, field operations, estimating, sales, and backlog, partnering with operations, accounting, and sales leaders to drive high performance and meaningful growth while ensuring safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the culture and leadership environment to drive a high-performance, accountable, professional, and collaborative workplace.
• Take full accountability for the business unit’s P&L and overall financial performance, driving revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, SG&A, and backlog.
• Lead sales and commercial performance with clear KPIs for leadership and producers, and build relationships with key customers and partners.
• Improve estimating discipline by focusing on estimate turnaround, accuracy, hit rates, pricing, and margins with the Chief Estimator.
• Develop and coach a high-performing team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and succession planning.
• Align sales, estimating, and operations to ensure realistic commitments and profitable project execution.
